Death is an inevitable end for all of us. However, this life is merely the beginning. We are living a trial, an exam that has two outcomes, failure or success.
How could the soul not give pause to the call, the call of worship to its Creator? To ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى), the most Merciful, the most Forgiving? Or to the beauty of the first bird's call just before Fajr, the call that awakes every soul to the worship of ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى)?
It is depressing to ponder upon our sins and our ungrateful ness. However, if we remember ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى) in everything we do, then InshaAllah our death will lead to success into Jannat Al-Firdaws.
"Those who remember ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى), standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth: "O Lord, You have not created this for nothing. Glory be to you! So safeguard us from the punishment of the fire."
(Sur'ah Al-Imran: 191)
